We always obtain the Articles for LLCs and Corporations. Do we need to obtain the one that has been filed with the Sec'y of State or the Corporate Commission?

Also for EINs- is the provisional IRS letter okay or do we need to obain the EIN confirmation letter?

Pat, in Arizona, obtain a copy of the Articles of Organization filed with the Arizona Corporation Commission with the Commission’s “date filed” stamp affixed.

We print out the filing from the Division of Corporations site, as well as obtain the Articles of Incorporation.

With respect to new entities, our policy states that we will open the account if they provide us with the application for the EIN number.
So yes, it is okay, but make sure that your policy states that you can do this.
