i've given guys the honest answer before..."i'm not interested" or "i'm not lookign to hook up with anyone"...but nearly every time i use the honest answer, the guy either ignores it and keeps pestering me, or gets really pissed off. so what's a girl to do in that case? use the "i'm taken" excuse i suppose...maybe i'll have a chance to try it out this weekend :-p

oh hey...a question for the BOL guys...
if you see a girl wearing RED lipstick, do you get any thoughts about her, like opinions about the kind of girl she is or what she's thinking, based solely on the fact she is wearing really red lipstick?

lol ron! I think I'll go with "sorry but I have a 2 year waiting list to date me, get in line..." :p
The funny thing though is that I'm usually so sarcastic that if I even did say something mean she'd think it was just another joke. And getting 50 text messages per day got annoying very quickly... But yeah, the short version of how this started is she invited me to hang out with her a couple times (which I took as a friendly thing, she apparently didn't) and then after that she kinda told people that those were dates and thats about when I started getting a text message from her every 3 minutes of every day. Oh and the worst part is that I actually AM interested in one of the other girls at work but now I can't really pursue that without creating drama.

I suppose it would depend on how red the lipstick is and how she's dressed as to forming an opinion. Of course, hot red lipstick may suggest she is looking to hook up, but then she may not want to smear the lipstick with a make out session.

I don't, to be honest I don't think most guys notice these types of things too much... I think all the judgments are going to come from whether or not your cloths are slutty lol... but even then I think women judge other women much more than men judge women. Men mostly just care about whether or not she is hot :p

I'd say go for the honest approach... but I'm one of the girls who prefers honesty over a bunch of hog wash like must girls these days. Put yourself in her shoes... how would you want her to respond to you if you were the one asking and she wasn't that "into" you.  Honestly I don't care if they lie and tell me they have a bf, I might even prefer it lol... Confidence is very important and this response goes a long way to preserve it.

lol search I'm talking about the person being lied to, not the person lying. If someone tells you they are taken you don't start doubting whether or not you were good enough for them, therefore you don't lose confidence when someone tells you this. Unless you get it from everyone and know that they have to be lying because you've heard it so many times...

eh, i'm just unsure about wearing the red lipstick...i've always worn lighter, more neutral shades but always wanted to try a red. so, i hopped over to mac and worked with the girls there to find one that worked on me (and orangey red, not a bluish red). i just don't want to give off the wrong impressions about myself when I wear it...hehe, men, i have a boyfrined...really!! LOL!

I feel better telling someone that I'm taken rather than hurting their pride by saying you aren't my type. I mean I know it takes alot of courage to walk up and ask someone. I just don't want to completely shoot them down.
Search you are right who cares about the lipstick. You can tell so much about a girl by her shoes.
