Depending on traffic, mine can take up to 8 minutes. That is almost double what it was when I officed at our other bank. (I'm sure my big city peers will feel sorry for me.)

EDIT: Oh, and I couldn't imagine paying for parking either.

Freaky..
I saw an episode of a real life trauma show on Discovery, that showed a woman in the ER that had a live cockroach in her ear, and they had to remove it.
That freaked me out!!!!!

I was like yoou Andy when I worked at a previous Branch, my commute was 3 minutes and didn't have to pay for parking.
I loved it. I went home every day for lunch and did some laundry or started supper, now I have a 25 min trek, still have free parking though.

I used to live 8 blocks from my old shop. I thought I'd improve
my quality of life by taking a job at the top of NJ, commuting via
the lovely NJ turnpike for 45 minutes, unless there are those
driving so badly, I would like to 314 them! Then it takes about 60+
minutes.

I have about a 10 minute drive. I am cheap so I won't pay for parking and I park at a Park that adds a five minute walk. I used to live in Minneapolis/St. Paul and I had a trip that would take 45 minutes if there was no traffic and I exceeded the speed limit a little. The worse traffic jam I experienced was when working there we had a snow storm and our boss let us go early but after 5 inches of snow had fallen. It took me 3 1/2 hours to get home.

My drive is 4 minutes if I hit both red lights, 3 minutes if I get one or fewer red lights.

My commute is 8 minutes with no kids. Dropping kids off at two schools make it 20. Sometimes third child doesn't want to ride this bus - add another 10 minutes.

Oh, the kid, that's an extra 10 in the a.m. and 20 in the
p.m. I didn't count him, because I'd have to drop him off
no matter where I worked.
Did I really improve the quality of my life???

NOT ME!!! I am so lucky, I only live 9 miles from my office now. (But I have put in my time on the road, believe me.)

I live 35 miles from work and a "normal" drive in takes about 45 minutes - have had as long as a 4 hour trip home due to accidents on both sides of the Missouri River in St. Charles, MO - the only way this was bearable is because my husband and I are able to commute together and with no one waiting for us at home, we don't need to "be there" at any certain time. If traffic seems to crazy leaving St. Louis, we can always get off the interstate and stop for dinner.

Connie, been across that bridge many times and had my car re-ended on the bridge once (back in 73). I have a good friend that use to live in St. Charles and now lives in O'Fallon.

It takes me about 10 to 12 minutes to commute to work. Takes me longer to get home, too many "watering" holes on the way home.

My drive is less than the length of one song on the radio and the parking is free. In the summer I can go to the baseball park for lunch and sit in the shade of the upper deck, enjoying the great Oklahoma blue sky. Come on summer!

Hi Dan

I just dig the way "watering holes" becomes part of your responses. You truly are a Crown Man.

By the way, have you every hallucinated seeing Scooby Doo after a visit at the local water hole?

78 miles each way. Little traffic. I swerve for armadillos, but will take 'target practice' if I'm in the pick-up.
One hour and ten minutes. Books-on-tape and Sean Hannity help.

Ok, so is Dallas not responding? I live about 25-30 miles from my branch. It takes 1 hour minimum at rush hour either to work or from work and that's exceeding the speed limit after I get out of the city. However, on Saturday I can make it in 30-40 minutes.

The sad thing - there is a branch about 5 miles from my house. They just don't have office space for me (yet).

I asked this yesterday with no response. I had been receiving the 314 (a) request like closkwork prior to them stopping, now not a one should I be concerned or count my blessings.

It almost seems like that today in Edmond - blue skies everywhere! I live six miles from work and can get there in about ten minutes - even going through a long school zone. Free parking too!

I would ask rather than put my head in the sand. While you can't be expected to read BOL and know these are going out, you do. My fear is that when they do realize it, they'll give you all the ones you missed for verification and then you will be back logged.

Hey, hey, people! The thread is called Friday Frivolity for a reason! Seriously, though, is it possible that you changed your contact information and forgot or FinCEN is sending them to another person in the bank?

I see that you're from a national bank. Talk with Jim Vivenzio (Veye-ven-Z-O) at the OCC 202-874-5200. He's handling this stuff there. He'll make sure he sends FinCEN the correct e-mail and other contact info.

Julia - that is exactly why we moved. We both work on the west side of town and were living in Plano. What a nightmare. Now we live over on this side and it's a MUCH better drive. And we listen to the traffic reports in the AM and laugh and laugh........

Good heavens! Do you own stock in an oil company?? If not, you should - at least you might get something back for all the moola you are pouring into the tank!!

What's your price of gas up to now, anyway?

If it were me, I'd have to buy stock in David Sunflower Seeds - they are as necessary as gasoline for a long trip!

BTW, I drive about 8 miles each way. No armadillos, but the deer and ice are things to watch for. Thankfully the buffalo are about 90 miles south, in Yellowstone.

Nope. Daphne maybe, but not Scooby.
