I am questioning whether there are any time limitations regarding correcting a bank error that will result in the bank debiting a customer's account for a deposit the bank posted twice.

Not aware of any time, other than it would make good sense to work with them, not just go in debit the account.

In my Strappy Heeled Sandals!
When we make any type of adjustment to the account holder's account, whether credit or debit, we issue a letter with the documentation to support why we made such an entry. Also we provide a bank contact and their # just in case the account holder has questions. I know at my bank... accounts have been adjusted up to nearly 8 months of finding errors. If there is a time limitation... I'd be very interested in knowing.
