short answer: yes.

explanation: you will have to go into your team once/week (or more if you like to tinker with things) to make sure your lineup is set, make sure none of your players are injured so you can fill that position with someone else, nake transaction etc. plus, you'll want to at least see how your team is performing.

You can set your line up once per day. As long as you check once per day, at most 10-15 mins, you will be fine. You should sign up, it will be fun.

the way it works is your players each week aggregate stats. then these weekly stats are aggregated throughout the season. each team in the league is given 1-12 points per stat category and he who has the most total points at the end of the season wins!

for example: your team has a batting average of .328 for the week of june 1st. this value gets averaged in with the rest of your season-long stats. so lets so the weekly aggregation up to that point had your team with a .305 batting average. your average in the league standings will improve. let's say this makes your batting average improve to .307 which was enough to move past Mr Peepers' average of .306 but not nearly enough to catch ron's team's average of .350. ron gets 12 points for that category, you get 11 and peepers gets 10. this can change from week to week.

at the end of the year, if there are 10 stat categories being scored with 12 teams, your team can finish with a maximum of 120 points.

in my rotisserie basketball league we only set lineups on Sunday and your team is locked all week. perhaps that would be easier for the first-timers to keep up with. just make sure your starting pitchers are going that week.
