We recently noticed that one of our customers has ordered checks that display the customer name as A.B.C. only. This is the customer's initials.

Does the check have to display their legal name and not just their initials?

what would the difference be if it was a starter or temp check, no name there?? just a thought...

we don't require any information to be printed on the checks. name or address.

they might have more of a problem having a business or store accept a check from them without their name and address printed on the check to cross reference with whatever ID the business or store requires.

You might want to keep an eye on a customer who doesn't put their correct name on their checks, especially if they're new to the bank. Suspicious activity comes to mind to me but then maybe I've been in BSA too long.
