Where the heart is
Okay - I'm a day late, but here's a joke that a department manager I knew would pull on a new employee:

He would take a micro-cassette recorder fast foward the tape about 15 minutes, then he would start the recorder and record, in a faint voice, a message such as "Help me! I'm trapped in here! Please help!" He would repeat the message, with some variations here and there, with the message getting gradually louder and louder until he was SHOUTING the message into the recorder.

Then, he would rewind to the beginning of the tape. About 5 minutes before the employee was expected to walk in, he would leave the recorder in a bottom drawer and push "Play."

Then he would go back to his office to watch the poor "newbie" get a strange look as he/she realized someone was calling for help!

I played one on my boss, back when monitors were monochrome, I set the word processors colors to black on black. When she complained about the @#$% computer's broke, I'd exit to the main menu and access lotus or another program. "Gee, I don't see a problem here."

I'm just now finding the time to read this thread. Some of us have TO WORK FOR A LIVING!! We can't just sit around all day reading BOL!!

Just kidding. April fools!

Anyway, I'm two days late, but here's a good one that I had fun playing. You must be comfortable with your victim or you might be charged with sexual harrassment, if caught. Find a good ladies lingerie catalog......one with really skimpy stuff on gorgeous ladies with ample body parts. Cut out a picture and place it face up in a male loan officer's lap drawer or any other drawer that he might open when a customer is seated across the desk. Watch him try to pull back in his bug-eyes and stiffle his gasp. But make sure the picture is where the customer won't be able to see it!!!

Well you could just leave body parts....that would surely get an interesting expression on their face

Just found out about this one today - apparently a young, ornery teller put a "For Sale" sign in his brand new car with some ridiculously low price listed. The phone number was the cell phone for the bank president.

He also rearranged pictures, things on desks, etc. that night - but this one backfired on him. The cleaning people thought the branch had been vandalized and called the president in to look.

No!!.....great pun!....either that, or I'm simple this morning. I fell out of my chair laughing about 5 minutes ago. I'm finally back in my chair, but still laughing.

P.S. Keep your comments to yourself....about my simple-mindedness. ThanQ.

I have a friend that can loan you a right hand and arm. (He has a prosthesis, he lost his right arm up to his elbow in a farming accident.)

I hadn't known him for very long and one night at the Elks I asked him to give me a hand to move a table. He literally pulled off his arm and handed it to me. (of course no adult bererages were involved )

OK.....you've got me going again. I'm typing this from the floor. Oh, my side, my side.........I won't have to do any sit-ups today.

P.S. "no adult BERERAGES were involved"......are you sure??

No, really, that WAS a great pun, Jac!

It brought a moment of laughter to my morning - which was badly needed as it is Monday and there is a whole lot of week ahead before next weekend.

You don't have a prosthesis too do you?

BTW I hope that your friend is keeping a close watch on his prosthesis in these times of increased national security. I hear that the Iraqis need all the arms they can get!

No, but some mornings after a night at the Elks I wished I had an interchangable head.

From what I hear, they need more than just arms. However, I will make that comment to my friend. He'll get a laugh out of it.

Our April Fool is happening today
It is snowing to beat the band outside and we are supposed to get about 10 inches of snow.
I'm not sure who needs to be contacted officially,?
But I would like to submit a request that winter ends!!!!!!!!!!!

Where is "Penna.?"

Move south. We're having lovely weather. Trees are budding, flowers in bloom, lawns are green........

I'm expecting 3-6 inches in my part of the state (and we're well on our way to that.)
Regarding the request, I logged on to Mother Nature's website to request some more seasonal weather, but all of the sunshine was booked to a family reunion near Flagstaff, Arizona.

That's what we called "Peeyay" before the postal service gave us standardized two letter state abbreviations.
