We are a small bank with just two branches, and our "operations" center is just a group of two offices on the backside of a simple office building. The only signage will be on the front of a single glass door leading into the hallway where the offices are. My opinion has always been that you don't "advertise" where your operations center is, due to the fact that is usually where your more expensive equipment is housed, as well as sensitive information. Is this the general concensus across the board? Is there any published opinion on this subject? Thanks!

I'm not sure why anybody would want to advertise where their operations center is located unless that is a place where customers may be asked to visit for various reasons. I work in a building that has no signs on it at all except for a street number on the door.

I agree. There is virtually no reason for a customer to come to our location. We house loan/deposit operations, accounting, IT, and HR. In addition, the glass door is kept unlocked during the day. However, the doors to the offices are kept locked and can only be accessed via a passcode.

Do you know of any published material on this subject?

Thanks for your reply.
