As part of the CRA Public File requirement as it relates to the smaller version of the Public File for the Branches (different from the Main Public file), I know that we need to have a copy of the most recent PE and a listing of services provided by the branch. For the Main Public file we include in the services portion the hours of operation, transaction fees, etc, but is this detailed information also required for the smaller branch version of the public file or will the basic listing of services suffice?

It's not required by Reg BB but as Bonnie stated, it may be easier to simply copy the applicable section from the main file.

Crazee, just to suggest something that has worked for me, I loaded all of the public file documents out on the Bank's Intranet CRA Public Folder, to which all the branches have access. That way, I can update as required and never have to worry whether they have the latest copy, etc.

Thanks everyone for sharing. We also publish the Bank's CRA Public Files on the intranet for easy update and access by all. I have to agree that this has definately made things a lot easier. I was hoping to cut down on the Branches Public file, but looks like we'll keep the file as is for now.

Crazee, just one question, do you mean actual paper files at the branches?

We still live in the stone age and have paper files.
All of our public files are identical, for me it's just easier that way and you don't have to worry about providing more information.

We have gone to the intranet. We do burn our HMDA and CRA disclosures to a CD for easy access.

It is so much easier to update one file on the intranet for 60 branches than have paper files for all of them.

If you don't have an intranet and have multiple branches, copy the files to CD and send those out for distrobution. They store easier and can be printed or reproduced easily when needed.

So are you keeping hard copies of docs anywhere? We are working on getting rid of our hard copies and posting our docs on our intranet, but it's hard for us to abandon the paper since that is what everyone is used to.

Sing, the only hard copies I keep are in a binder in my office, for review by the examiners.

If you put your public file on the Intranet does your CRA disclosure wording change at all? Also, do you supply a copy of the public file immediately if a person was to ask for it or do you tell them you will supply it within 5 days? Does this wording need to be on your main disclosure in your lobby(the 5 days)?
Anyone???

Ours states that the information contained in the public file is available at any one of our branches and the request for info will be fufilled in 5 days or less.

The paper and intranet copies of the Public file are the same. I understand it is not required, but we do have our Banking Centers print out a hardcopy.
