Has anyone worked with VITA before? If yes, how were they to work with?

We sponsor VITA sites across the country. We partner with the IRS and national partners to provide the venue and equipment. IRS does the training. We also push information on the EITC and matching fund programs if the taxpayers will deposit the refund with a nonprofit's IDA program. We like to be the exclusive bank at the sites so we can open the accounts right there.

Further South than I wanna be.
I have worked with VITA for the last 7 years and we are gearing up for this year. I teach the preparers, do taxes and participate in a non profit we created to oversee the local VITA sites. We call it KC CASH (Creating Assets, Savings & Hope). We have partners from banking, nonprofit, FDIC, IRS & the local community colleges and one middle school.

I love working with this group and even tho the hours are long during tax season it is very gratifying work.

I did this in college. I learned so much and my eyes were opened.

I have been trying to talk mgmt into doing this.
