Can anyone help me with the issue of jump pages on the web? I am looking for rules, regs and whatever covers this. Specifically, I know you inform the viewer that they are leaving a secured site. They leave, and enter an affiliate site (we have 4 affiliates that you can visit). Then, if they go back you need a screen telling them they are leaving that site. Do you need a jump page for every affiliate they can get into( both to and from)? I am confused.

I think what you may be looking for is the OCC's recent guidance on weblinking. Rather than re-hash a variety of discussions that this forum has had on this topic, I suggest you do a search on "weblinking". Perhaps, that will provide the access to the informtion you are seeking.

We are OCC regulated and are required to indicate our customer are leaving our site if we link to another. This inclusive to even our FDIC logo.

Required by law and a suggested best practice are two different things. I suggest doing it as a habit because it isn't that difficult to do and it makes sense. But there isn't a legal requirement for this that I have seen.

If these sites have different products, practices and policies, I'd certainly recommend the notice, just to avoid confusion.
