We are expecting several individuals from Puerto Rico to come in and open new accounts. We have been told that they all have SSN's becasue they are from PR. Do we need to get any other documentation from the customer other than the DL, Passport, etc?

I think that would depend on what your CIP policy says you have to collect.

Those individuals are almost certainly U.S. citizens, and don't need passports or visas to enter the U.S. So don't expect to see the documents you'd request from a foreign national, because these folks won't have them.

So they just need to go get a DL or ID Card and that should be all we need. That was one of my questions, were they considered a US citizen. Thanks for your help.

What you need is what your CIP policy requires. You should also ask about the expected activity in the account, purpose of the account (why with you), etc to complete your CDD/EDD.
