Does anyone have a set of sample error resolution letters? We currently have about 40 and I want to consolidate. If not any samples, is there a place to find model letters?

Model notices can be found in Appendix A to Regulation E.

I don't think you'll find the Error Resolution letters in Appendix A. The appendix provides models for initial disclosures. I believe BankerRed is looking for letters to say:
1. Here's your 10 day provisional credit;
2. Here's you final credit;
3. We think you're wrong and are reversing provisional credit;
Etc.

Yes. I am looking for letters. I have disclosures. We have too many letters and I am sure we can reduce the number so I was just looking for something so as not to "recreate the wheel" if someone else had some.

Since I consider these a benefit of enrollment, I can't offer them here. But if you have folks who need Reg E training, you can kill two birds with one stone.

I don't think David is giving away letters for free, if that is what you are thinking....... He does make his living at this you know

Take Andy Z's course. It provides a thorough overview, a handy way to calculate the days from notification to resolution, and the letters.The reg does not offer letters. Do not change Andy's letters. We did by omitting one paragraph (not enough coffee that morning, who knows) and got our paws stepped on by the examiners. Still smarting from the experience.

Andy, I would assume your letters have been updated over the years. I think we have versions that are about 7-8 years old. I had to extensively modify them recently because the external auditors wanted some current language in them.

Edit: Sorry, it was Reg D letters I was thinking of. Sorry folks, nothing to see here. Please move along.

The error resolution procedures of Reg E have been the same since the inception of the Electronic Funds Transfer Act in 1978. There is no "current language." What did the auditors believe was missing or incorrect about the letters?

Sorry, had my Regs screwed up in my head. I looked back and it was our Reg D letters they didn't like.
