my squirrels side thought: can i say "my"? they're not really mine, although they eat sleep and get merry  in my yard... anyhoo - last year's pumpkins spent the winter atop a mossy mound at the edge of the forest. one of the squirrels spent yesterday morning lifting one of the collapsed lids, crawling in and scooping out moldy seeds, gorging on said seeds, then dipping in the new lake (there now that all that snow is melting, don't get me started on THAT) to wash off his head and hands. back and forth and back and forth he did this all morning. i ♥ my ocd squirrel!
