Can an agent on a POA put himself as a joint owner? POD?

Question:
Can an agent on a POA put himself as joint owner? POD?
Answer:

No. Usually this is considered self-serving and is not a good practice. An agent on a POA has to act in the best interest of the owner/grantor and not in his or her own best interest. Read the document and only do what the POA document permits.
