Notify Depository Bank of Large $ Return?

Question: 
Are paying banks still required to notify a depository bank of a large dollar return? If so, are the requirements of these notifications: 1) Any check in the amount of $2,500.00 or more. 2) Notice must be sent in time for the Depository Bank to have received it by 4:00pm (local time) on the second business day following the banking day on which the checks was presented to the paying bank.

Ken Golliher: The "pending" revision of Regulation CC may well eliminate this notice requirement, but that has not happened yet.
