Purchasing Traveler's Checks

Answered by:

Question:
When a bank customer is writing a check for a traveler's or cashier's check, to whom do they make the check payable?
Answer:

The check should be payable, in my opinion, to themselves (and then endorsed in blank), or to the bank. Annotate the check with the purpose so there's no subsequent fallout about misappropriation.
