SSNs on Estate Accounts?

Answered by:

Question:
Can we use an SSN on an estate account?
Answer:

Not the best practice. But if you do, it needs to be for a living person (executor) and not a deceased person. We don’t open accounts with a deceased person’s SSN and it should be a non-interest-bearing account.
