This is a great question! First, try to find common ground. You are on the same team for your bank, after all. Next, recognize you have different perspectives and bring different strengths and weaknesses to the table. Often, explaining the “why” behind a particular rule helps bring understanding and brainstorming for alternatives, with much better results than a hard “no”.
