The Federal Reserve will handle encoding errors brought to their attention within six months of the cash letter date. After that, the reconciliation is "bank to bank" and must take place within one year of the cash letter date. Where is it written that a bank has one year to initiate a bank to bank adjustment of the cash letter date?

Can a credit score be used to determine the transactions performed on a deposit account, i.e. placing a hold on a check for $500 because their credit score is below 650?

We have been expecting to receive some counterfeit Postal Money Orders back in our return cash letter. We had received 1 of 3 a couple of weeks ago. It's now been 2 weeks from the date of deposit. Are Postal Money Orders exempt from late return claims?

I recently received a promotional letter from a large competitor bank in my neighborhood offering $100 cash for opening a new checking account, and an additional $25 if you open a savings account. I am so confused by Reg Q that I can't figure out how they are doing this. They require $250 to open the checking account to qualify for the $100 incentive. They also require $100 to open the savings to receive the $25 incentive. How does the Reg Q apply to this situation?

We have a husband and wife who are farmers in our area that want to open sole proprietor deposit accounts to operate their farm. Can they open a joint account? They do not want the ownership limited to one person as they are equals. I don't see how this can be done within a sole proprietorship, but they say "they've always been able to do that." Can we do this?
